Whether it’s a power bank, gas generator or hardwired electric, camping without power is not an option. Gone are the days of camping without cellphone, tablets and portable fans. Rather than shaming the change, we should embrace the change. At the end of the day, getting people outdoors is the goal. If that means at the end of a long day of hiking, biking, exploring etc, ends with some screen-time, so be-it. At least people are still getting outside. A power source is certainly the first step in encouraging more to venture outside their comfort zone.

For those that aren’t ready for tent camping, glamping is a happy medium. Glaming (a newly coined term) is a combination of glamorous camping. The most common approach to clamping comes in the form of a Yurt style structure, fully outfitted with wood-burning stove, comfy bed and of course POWER! So what’s the appeal? The appeal is these glamping structures are typical in very remote locations. Again, allowing everyone to get outdoors and enjoy the elements, but providing a luxurious home-base

In the world of glamping, what sets apart the winners from losers is in the details. How instagrammable are the accommodations? If its not photo-worthy, it’s not as likely to draw a crowd there for the sole purpose of the ‘gram.’ This is especially true for special events like weddings. Weddings are extremely expensive and a one-time event that needs to be lived on via video and photo. By incorporating something trendy and new like an acrylic sign for wedding for example, sets you apart from the rest of the competition. As they say, “happy bride, happy day.” In addition to customized signs, banners, lighting, and table decorations can all be tweaked to please your audience.
